:: Home Sweet Home :: Arnold Boys (take 2) Wildewood, MD

After coming home from our fun shoot with the Arnold boys at Annmarie Garden, I immediately downloaded the pictures on my computer because I was so excited with what I had captured on my camera. When Ruth, Tom and Ben's mum, had originally contacted me she expressed her want for pictures of her two boys together...I knew in my mind that that was the "shot" I had to get. Due to their ages it was a difficult task, Ben, 9 weeks, wasn't old enough to hold himself up and Ben, 2 years, wasn't strong enough to hold his brother all by himself. I went through the pictures and was so disappointed because there weren't any images that I was in love with and proud to show Ruth. I immediately contacted her and asked if I could do another shoot, this time at their home...I am so much happier with what I captured this time around, not only did I get pictures of the boys together, but I was also able to get more pictures of cute little Ben. Moral of the story: only give pictures that you are proud of and willing to "represent you" to the client...I was willing to do a reshoot over giving out sub-par work.

:: All things fall...Apples, Corn, Hay :: Forrest Hall Farms

Today I took my best test model to Forrest Hall Farms to check out the property. This place is gorgeous!! They have apple orchards, corn fields, a vineyard, greenhouses, and much much more. I would love to do a photo shoot here this fall!

:: Gnomes and Crocodile Shoes :: Arnold Boys Annmarie Garden

Last week the Arnold boys--Tom, 2 years, and Ben, 9 weeks, invited me to play (and take pictures) with them at the Gnome and Fairy garden at Annmarie Garden in Calvert. This is one of the coolest places for kids that I've seen in awhile, a place straight out of a child's imagination--tepees, a fairy stage, castles, playhouses, and bells around all the trees. Tom was so excited to show me everything there was to do, so excited that he wouldn't look at the camera...he was constantly on to the next thing. I convinced him to look at my camera by telling him that there was a crocodile, his favorite animal, in my camera. He would concentrate really hard while looking straight into the lens and as I snapped he would have the biggest smile while saying, "I saw it, I saw the crocodile!!". One of the funnest shoots I've had, for that hour I felt as if I was 3 again...Tom brought out the child in me.

Playhouse and castle

The first crocodile sighting...lol

At times it looked like it took Ben all he had to smile and giggle for the camera, but he did it over and over again...one happy baby for sure
